In Royal Oak, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Michigan vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

We had an excellent experience with Oakland Mobile Auto! From the very beginning, they responded quickly, gave us honest and knowledgeable advice, and offered a very fair price. One of the biggest advantages was not having to worry about towing our vehicle to a repair shop or sitting around waiting for it to be worked on—they came to us, which made the entire process so much less stressful. Nick was able to fit us into his schedule incredibly quickly. He was professional, friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything and made us feel confident we were in good hands. We truly appreciated the convenience, quality of service, and fair pricing. We would absolutely recommend Oakland Mobile Auto to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy, and efficient auto repair. Thank you again!

Nick and team are standup guys! I had an overheating issue where my hose burst coming from the Turbo part of my ATS Cadillac engine. Nick repaired this right in my drive-way at a very reasonable price. I tried to give him a tip as if you know anything about this job its difficult from my research. Do yoy know he wouldn't take the tip! Just wanted to charge me what was due. How cool!

Such an amazing experience. They were able to help me (AFTER HOURS) I texted the auto repair phone number and couldn't believe how fast of a response I got. They were ready to help and got the job done in 25 minutes. I needed some break pads put on my vehicle. The mechanic made it look easy. Price was unbelievably good and more then reasonable. He took the time to educate me and show me future repairs on the affected area. He was keeping it real and very approachable. I highly recommend this company, give this man a raise. I will be coming back for future repairs.

I contacted Oakland Mobile Auto after seeing them recommended on social media, and I’m glad I did. The experience exceeded my expectations. They were very professional, prompt, and provided excellent service from start to finish. I reached out in the morning and by the afternoon my car was already repaired. They replaced the starter in under 30 minutes right in my driveway. The pricing was very fair and the convenience of having the repair done on-site made the whole process stress-free. Highly recommend Oakland Mobile Auto if you’re looking for fast, reliable, and professional service.

Nick and his team were fantastic. They handled new brake pads, rotors, and an oil change all in one day at a fair price. My brakes were making some scary loud noises, and Nick offered to drive my car to the shop nearby so I didn’t have to worry about causing more damage. That extra care meant a lot. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future car work.
